This inexpensive three-piece kit lets you more than double your collection of eyepiece magnifications for less than the cost of most single eyepieces alone. The kit comes with a 1.25” 15mm four-element multicoated Plössl eyepiece that gives you two-thirds higher magnification than the 25mm or 26mm eyepiece that comes standard with most telescopes. It is even virtually parfocal with the premium 26mm Meade Super Plössl that comes with Meade telescopes. When you drop this 15mm in your Meade scope’s eyepiece holder in place of the standard 26mm, there will be virtually no refocusing needed. You can start enjoying higher power views immediately, with no focuser fiddling, as you often have to do with other brands of eyepieces. The kit also includes a 1.25” 2x multicoated Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of the kit’s 15mm Plössl eyepiece, as well as doubling that of any eyepiece you use with it. If you have one eyepiece now, this kit will effectively give you four magnifications – that of your original eyepiece; twice that by using it with the kit’s 2x Barlow; the power of the new 15mm eyepiece by itself; and the effective power of an 7.5mm eyepiece that you get by combining your new 15mm eyepiece with the 2x Barlow. If you have two eyepieces now, this kit will combine with them to give you a total of six magnifications! In addition, you get a green 18% transmission Meade Moon filter that will cut down the Moon’s glare through your telescope and improve its contrast. You’ll see more lunar detail, more comfortably, with the Moon filter threaded into your 1.25” eyepiece. The filter has industry-standard 1.25” threads, so it will work with virtually any brand of eyepiece, not just Meade Plössls.
