| These 26mm clear aperture 1.25" optical glass color filters are designed for use with small refractor and reflector telescopes 80mm in aperture and smaller. Because of their relatively high light transmission they are generally not suitable for use with the brighter images of larger scopes (3.5” and up in aperture). They increase the image contrast and resolution on the Moon and planets and reduce the glare of the full or near-full Moon with small scopes. The set includes a neutral density filter with 50% light transmission for observing the Moon and helping to split binary stars; a light yellow filter with 83% transmission for observing the Moon and Mars; a light blue filter with 73% light transmission for observing the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn; and a light red/orange filter with 46% transmission for observing Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Each filter threads into the barrels of 1.25” eyepieces and is packed in a separate plastic case for secure storage. |
