| These large aperture binoculars are particularly well-suited to observing the skies. As they are generally fairly heavy and don't focus particularly closely, they are not as well suited for all-around terrestrial observing (birdwatching, nature studies, football games, etc.) There are many more smaller 35mm to 50mm binoculars available at our Christophers, Ltd. website that would be more suited to daytime terrestrial use, but which could still be used for casual astronomy.
