For use with 35mm Minolta Maxxum autofocus single lens reflex cameras only (except 2xi, 3xi, and SPxi).

Needed to connect your 35mm Canon SLR camera body to a T-adapter or camera adapter for prime focus photography (full disc solar/lunar photography and terrestrial photography); to a tele-extender or camera adapter for eyepiece projection photography (planetary photography and close-up shots of the Moon); and to an off-axis guider for long exposure deep space photography.

Instructions for using the Maxxum T-ring and a telescope or spotting scope with Minolta Maxxum cameras.

With Maxxum 5000, 7000, 9000, 3000i, 5000i, 7000i, and 8000i camera bodies, no preparation is needed to use the Maxxum T-ring.

With the Maxxum 2xi, 3xi, and Spxi, it is not possible to use the Maxxum T-ring.

With the Maxxum 5xi, press and hold the SPOT and FUNC buttons and switch from LOCK to ON.

With the Maxxum 7xi and 9xi, press and hold the AEL and FUNC buttons and move power switch from LOCK to ON.

With the Maxxum 300si, press and hold FLASH and DRIVE/SELFTIMER buttons and move power switch from LOCK to ON. (OFF appears in LCD panel.)

With the Maxxum 400si, press and hold DRIVE MODE and AV buttons and move power switch from LOCK to ON.

With the Maxxum 600si, press and hold the LENS RELEASE and FILM SPEED buttons and move the power switch from LOCK to ON. (OFF appears in LCD panel.)

With the Maxxum 700si, press and hold SPOT and CARD buttons and move power switch from LOCK to ON.
