This adapter allows you to use 1.25" eyepieces in a 0.965" focuser with many telescopes. The adapter takes up 1.5" of telescope back focus, so it may not work with many economy refractors and reflectors.

With an eyepiece in the scope focused on the stars, measure the amount of focuser drawtube showing between the focuser of the scope and the bottom of the ring that holds the eyepiece (on reflectors) or the star diagonal (on refractors). If there is not a minimum of 1.5" of focuser drawtube showing, there is not enough telescope back focus available to use the AD-2.
