| The low price of this eyepiece will surprise anyone familiar with the cost of other 2” eyepieces. Despite its very modest cost, it is a good low power performer that will please just about everybody with its image quality. It is designed for big scopes with 2” focusers, like the 8” Celestron C8D Dobsonian reflector. The eyepiece provides very wide angle views of open star clusters and faint nebulas and galaxies. It will work well with any telescope type, but is happiest with a telescope focal ratio above f/6. The long eye relief allows eyeglass wearers to use it with no vignetting. If you want to dip your toe into the observing waters of 2” eyepieces, the 32mm Celestron E-LUX is a very economical way to start with good 2" images.
