This filter threads into the base of the chrome barrel of most 1.25” eyepieces (except Clavé Plössls and Questar and Vernonscope Brandons). The filter reduces irradiation, glare, and brightness in lunar and planetary observing with medium aperture telescopes by allowing only 13% of the light collected by the telescope to reach your eye, without affecting the color balance.

This filter works best with telescopes 6” to 8” in aperture and larger.
